About:

This class represents step three of Jacqueline’s three-step movement program. After understanding the importance of listening to and respecting the body’s methods of communication, it is time to take your newfound positive relationship and create healthy and enticing art! For those who did not take “The Mind,” Jacqueline begins with a brief introspective guided look into what parts of students’ bodies are particularly “talkative” that day, and what restrictions they each might need to respect and attend to. Then, she discusses the importance of alignment and attentive protection for those parts. Students work with mirror posing that accommodates restriction and emphasizes stillness and eye contact. She then leads into demonstrations of chair work and floor work that honor restrictions, with participants mirroring the instructor.
