About the workshop:

Do you want gorgeous lines and dynamic poses to incorporate into your dance routines?

These movements start with strength and flexibility. Join Charlie to learn how to warm up the body in a way that supports joint health and protects against injury. Then work with a combo of stretch and strength that will help support your joints while you’re on stage. Then end with a cool down. This virtual class is inclusive of many body types and will take place seated.

There will be multiple variations of each movement and participants are encouraged to select the one that feels the safest and most valuable to their body. This workshop is about learning how to warm up and move safely, not how far that movement may go. We ask that participants feel they have a good understanding of their body’s needs and can reasonably trust themselves to know what is, and is not a safe range of motion for them.

To get ready for class, you’ll want a chair or something to sit on, a thick blanket or towel, a pillow, and yoga blocks or something similar.
