TESTIMONIALS

“The Academy showcases classes that not only allow an artist to advance and hone their skills and artistry, it highlights classes that address accessibility, ethics, and unique talents and viewpoints not seen elsewhere. Each instructor brings their own Intersectionality to the table and provides a rich learning experience well worth the time and money of any artist.”

“The DisabiliTease Academy provides a creative beacon for fellow disabled performers to learn and develop. I was able to meet and collaborate with performers on the other side of the world in a safe, inclusive, community-focused environment. I know I’ll be applying to come back next year.”

“The Disabilitease Academy has been an invaluable resource for newbie burlesque performers like me. Teachers around the world teach me about what to do, how to do it, and how to look for and ask for the resources I need as a disabled performer. It also helps me see different ways I can validate myself and how I present myself and my creativity. I also can assist fellow performers and help them feel validated in who they are.”

“The DisabiliTease Academy and Festival have been a godsend! I feel like I have a home and there is a community. If I’m going through a rough patch I know I’m not alone and others can empathize. I’m so grateful to Minda Mae for her foresight to create the festival and academy.”
