About the workshop:

This workshop is for natural, unnatural, or supernatural looks! It covers two major sections of makeup theory, color theory and face shape, in a beginner way to introduce the concepts and help students get more comfortable with the ideas and using them to understand their faces better, and how to apply that knowledge to other tutorials readily available.

The workshop includes the following topics: facial color theory of value, undertone, clear and muted tones, and contrast, how to identify them in ourselves, and uses for them, as well as face shape, contour and highlight shaping, blush placement, and eye shape, why these placements are often used, manipulating the “ideal” face in beauty, and introduces some non-Western beauty ideas. There are a few interactive techniques where students are walked through to assist in finding some of the “answers” to the face, as well as resources suggested for further independent learning.

This workshop does not go over application technique, nor does it focus on one makeup style alone or aim for anyone to achieve a “perfect” look.
